What Are Testings?Testings are held for a student to demonstrate that they have achieved the necessary skills to advance to the next level or rank. What Are The Results Of Testing?A student advances to a new belt by learning and improving the material and skills of their current rank. Each belt, with the exceptions of White and Black, has 4 stripes. Based on how a student performs at their testing they will earn one or two stripes toward their next rank. After earning four stripes a students next testing, if they pass, will place them into the next belt level. |
When Are Testings?We hold promotional testings every two to three months. When Should I Test?A color belt student is required to spend a minimum of two months at their current rank before they can test, though they may spend longer. If both you and the instructor feel that you have adequately prepared to test then you should participate in the next available two month testing. CTF Membership
By their first testing we require students to register with the Choong-Sil Taekwondo Federation (CTF), which is the national organization that our school is affiliated with. This costs $42 per year for an individual (family discounts available for 3 or more, alternate pricing for little dragons) and allows the student to be nationally recognized for their new rank, allows them entrance into CTF events, such as tournaments, and places them on the Taekwondo insurance. Your first years membership to the CTF is included as part of your registration fee. Each year following you will renew your membership. To do so just click the link below.
