The Zoom classes were fun, but we are excited that we are getting back into the Dojang and working out together in person. Here is the info on how we have reopened on-location classes to maximize safety for our students, parents, and staff.
Remember if you are not comfortable coming back at the moment, we have videos on our Facebook and YouTube to help you train at home. Below are a few guidelines and procedures to make sure that we open in the safest manner possible and follow the Governor's mandates:
The school is being sanitized from top to bottom and we have plans in place for additional cleaning on a daily basis that goes above and beyond what we normally do.
All students (both children and adults) are required to stop and wash their hands at the sink before entering the workout area and again after class.
All students, parents, and staff must wear a mask or face covering when not actively working out.
Students should come already dressed in their uniform to minimize use of the changing room.
Students in the workout area will be properly spaced to follow social distancing guidelines and there will be no sparring for the next month at least.
Chairs in the waiting area will also be safe spaced for the parents who feel the need to stay during their children’s classes. We can only have up to two parents in the waiting area to meet the distance guidelines. As such it is best if parents drop off their children and return to their vehicles until class is over during this time period.
No one with the following characteristics will be allowed in the school:
Have returned from travel to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Orleans or overseas within the last 14 days;
Have had a fever of 100.4°F or greater in the past two days;
Have a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell;
Had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days;
Have compromised immune systems and/or have chronic diseases.
